BIOMIMETIC PATIENT-SPECIFIC DENTAL SIMULATION MODELS
ABOUT ORATOMIC4D
Oratomic4D is an R&D technology company based in Sydney, Australia. We specialise in the development of advanced biomimetic patient-specific dental simulation models using additive manufacturing and 3D printing technology. We research, develop, and manufacture ‘True to Life’ dental simulation products designed to deliver a highly realistic immersive educational experience.
SAY GOODBYE TO THE TYPODONT
The vast majority of training programmes globally rely on traditional injection moulded typodont models that have undergone relatively little change since their inception and introduction to dentistry over a century ago.Typodont models typically feature maxillary and mandibular arches of plastic teeth with an idealised occlusion.Generic models lacking natural anatomy, root morphology, irregularities, realistic occlusion and tactile feedback during use do not provide an optimal learning outcome.

There is a now better way. A smarter way.
SAY HELLO TO TINA

Unlike the typodont, Tina is a real.
OPEN WIDE TINA

Tina's teeth aren't perfect rows of plastic.
They are typical of what dentists see and treat in practice.
Humans are the perfect simulation models. Not typodonts.
TINA HAS ANATOMY

Tina's x-rays reveal bone, jaws, sinuses, roots, impacted wisdom teeth and other related structures.A richer more immerse learning experience is made possible when combining simulation training with clinical & radiographic information.
But this is still not enough.
THIS IS TINA'S CBCT
The CBCT adds incredible depth to diagnosis, treatment planning in oral surgery, endodontic and implant training.
Even with all of this information at our disposal there is still one thing missing.
The exceptional learning experience that comes from treating Tina herself.
SO WE CREATED THE ULTIMATE SIMULATION MODEL

A patent-pending breakthrough in design, prototyping and 3D printing at our R&D lab in Sydney.
SAY HELLO TO TINA4D
Tina4D is a complete 1:1 replication of the real Tina. No detail has been spared.
A paradigm shift in dental simulation
ACCURACY AT AN UNPRECEDENTED SCALE
Maxillary and mandibular arches faithfully recreated.

Unbelievably smooth to the touch and true to life in every possible way.
Every tooth is a complete anatomical replica of Tina's teeth from crown to root tip including PDL, pulp chambers and root canals.
REIMAGINING THE MANIKIN

The anatomical Oratomic4D Universal Head features integrated bench-top and dental chair mount options providing a fresh alternative to the traditional manikin and phantom head which are expensive and bulky.Weighing under 300g, the Oratomic4D Universal Head allows a range of upper and lower simulation arches to be used and replaced based on specific clinical simulation scenarios.
Tina's ramus and condyles have been replicated for additional anatomical landmarks and realism.
SOFT TISSUE REPLICATION

Taking a step further, we've recreated Tina's face and gums with life-like lips, cheeks and realistic tissue flexibility. Our water tight head will allow quick connect options for water drainage via passive water bottle connection or active suction.
Simulation clinics can now be created virtually anywhere.
ULTRA-REALISTIC EXODONTIA SIMULATION
This is the Oratomic4D Exodontia simulation model.

The ultimate exodontia, oral surgery and wisdom tooth extraction simulation model for immersive training.

32 extractable teeth. Just like real life.Printed periodontal ligaments delivering true to life resistance with audible and tactile feedback. Each tooth requiring the same force and techniques to luxate, elevate and extract.

Two full sized impacted wisdom teeth fully replicated from Tina's CBCT. Each model supplied with a copy of the DICOM file for enhanced training opportunity.Experience root fractures, bone removal and anatomical sockets that can be used for bone augmentation or immediate implant placement training.Optional soft-tissue silicone gums to simulate raising of flaps, retraction and placement of suture.
SEE, HEAR & FEEL
Tactile, visual and audible feedback during exodontia training. Each tooth requires the same forces and movements - just like real life.
ENDODONTICS REDEFINED
Our engineers at Oratomic4D have developed one of the world's first complete patient-specific full upper and lower arch endodontic models replicating Tina's true full root canal anatomy across 28 individual teeth and supplied with the CBCT for enhanced diagnosis and treatment planning.

We've eliminated biohazards and the need to collect extracted teeth whilst standardising learning outcomes.

Each of the 14 teeth in the upper and lower arch are anatomically and dimensionally true to life. Each enabling access cavity preparation, exploration of the pulp chamber, cleaning, shaping and obturation.
IMPLATOLOGY REDEFINED
Say goodbye to pigs jaws and expanded PU foam models.
Oratomic4D's patient-specific implant models creates a new level of simulation training supported by patient surface scan and CBCT data for diagnosis treatment planning.Featuring D2 bone type, partial or fully edentulous arches, optional simulated resin or silicone gums, 8 extractable teeth per arch with anatomical sockets and healed ridges, a wide range of implant training can be carried out including bone grafting, socket shield procedures and immediate or conventional implant placement.Oratomic4D have the capability of replicating and patient to the ultimate in simulation training.

WE HAVE ONLY JUST SCRATCHED THE SURFACE OF POSSIBILITY
Oratomic4D's range of dental simulation training models continue to be developed and are now available. Our oral surgery and implant models are now available to order by individual students, dentists, training organisations, universities, dental manufactures and private course providers. Our endodontic and restorative models are currently under development and will be available later this year.
